ACTIONS IN OUR SECTOR

RESEARCH & DEVELOPMENT

CECALAIT invests in research & development field in order to :

	• Develop new analytical methods,
	• Improve existing protocols.

This activity is carried out in close cooperation with many organisations active in this sector:

	• INRA (Institut National de la Recherche Agronomique),
	• Institut de l'élevage,
	• CNIEL (Centre Interprofessionnel de l'Economie Laitière),
	• ARILAIT (Association de Recherche en Industrie Laitière),
	• ALF (Association Laitière Française),
	• ITFF (Institut Technique des Fromages Français),
	• Interprofessional, company and milk control laboratories,
	• Public bodies.

The role of this committee is to define a strategy for analytical research within the field and to guide research and development work, with a view to enhancing methods for milk and dairy products.

STANDARDISATION

CECALAIT contributes to the definition of new national and international analytical standards by participating in the proceedings of several commissions:

	• French Standards Authority (Association Française de Normalisation - AFNOR),
	• ISO (International Organisation for Standardisation) and IDF (International Dairy Federation),
	• CEN (European Committee for Standardisation).
